Momentum Coffee Celebrates Juneteenth with the South Loop Business Coalition at True Rock Ministries
Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. Observed annually on June 19th, it marks the day in 1865 when Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, and informed the last remaining enslaved people of their freedom—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued in 1863. This historic moment is a powerful reminder of the delayed but eventual arrival of justice and liberation.
This year, Momentum Coffee had the honor of celebrating Juneteenth with the community at True Rock Ministries, alongside the South Loop Business Coalition. The event was more than a celebration; it was a reflection of resilience, unity, and progress. Representing Momentum Coffee at the celebration was Mr. Charles, a valued member of our team who embodies the heart of our mission.
